Events for Spring Semester 2009



Wednesday Nite Fellowship - 8pm at UCM. A progressive, open minded fellowship of Christian students sharing Bible study, contemporary topics, FOOD and prayer. Non-judgemental support system. Wherever you're at on your Christian spiritual journey you are welcome! Carpooling from campus. Contact Lauren at ucm@kent.edu.

Agape Feast and Protestant Holy Communion - 8 pm at UCM on first Wedneday of each month during the semesters. Informal and open to all KSU students regardless of denomination.

Service Projects - UCM was a winner of KSU Service Excellence in 2008! Contact ucm@kent.edu to get involved or learn more.....

Bible study and support or special topic groups - TBA.

Kappa Phi - Tuesdays, 8pm KSU Student Center. A national Christian women's service organization on campus since 1948. Visit ksukappaphi.com for more information.

UCM Community Dinners - Friday March 13 at 6:00pm in Pierson Hall of the Kent United Methodist Church

Menu includes Cranberry Chicken, Green Beans Almondine, Roasted Potatoes, Chocolate Cherry Cake (Vegetarian dish available by request)

Tickets cost $15 Adults (Children under 12 free - Childcare provided). Patron tickets also available at $5.

Kent State United for the Gulf Coast Recovery Efforts - UCM has done FIVE trips so far, and is committed to ongoing service trips to Biloxi and the areas still devastated from Hurricane Katrina.

Click the following link to learn more about the KSU United for the Gulf Coast Alternative Spring Break service trip. UCM ACTIVE members receive full funding for the registration fee. It's a great time to get involved now with the Wednesday night fellowship or Kappa Phi for Christian women.

You can also sign up to help at the upcoming fundraiser on March 13 to receive a $100 toward registration if you are not active with UCM.

This is a great growth opportunity to help others and to learn more about how service can enrich your faith and life!

Inter-Faith Darfur Coalition - Explore the issues and concerns relating to the ongoing humanitarian crisis and genocide in Darfur with our interfaith programs and calls to action! A Fall 2008 trip to Washington, DC is being planned.

Pastoral Counseling for UCM students by ordained and trained ministers is provided free by contacting UCM.
